David wanted to create an engagement ring for Crystal incorporating both opal and turquoise to honor both their birthplaces - Australia and America. We started with sourcing the opal to get the colors just right, then sourced turquoise to complement the opal’s flash. We worked very closely with David throughout the process to meet his vision for the design.
After the engagement, we had the opportunity to work with both Crystal and David on their wedding bands. We designed a conforming band for her with alternating turquoise and opal inlay.
He chose a gold band with a redwood and turquoise insert. The turquoise element aesthetically ties the two rings together, as do the matching hammered metals.
