Julia came to us with heirloom diamonds to use for her engagement ring project. For her center stone she wanted to source a rhodolite garnet similar to one in a ring belonging to her mother. We were very excited to find a beautiful rhodolite garnet from Moyo Gems, mined by female artisanal miners in the Umba Valley and fully traceable from miner to client.
The other design elements came together around these materials - a classic prong setting accented by diamond side stones and a pavé band, designed to sit flush against the pavé infinity wedding band.
This wedding set combines several ethical options - reusing estate diamonds, sourcing an ethically mined and cut center gemstone, and using recycled metal.
